Evans ( Billionaire Kidnapper ) - Court awards N2m in favour of Evans’ brother-in-law Brother in-law to Billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, Okwuchukwu Obiechina, on Monday floored the Nigerian Police Force at the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court. The court awarded a N2m cost against the Nigerian Police Force over the detention of Obiechina. Obiechina, had in a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed before the court said his arrest and detention was unconstitutional. Ruling on the matter, Justice Justice Mohammed Idris, declared Obiechina’s arrest and detention unconstitutional. Justice Idris held that the remand order which the police claimed to have obtained from a magistrates’ court was invalid. Cross River  - Married lecturer caught in hotel with female student.   see Video: A married lecturer was arrested yesterday for inviting a female student he was assigned to supervise her final year project to a hidden hotel in barracks road, Igoli Ogoja, Cross River state. In a video gone viral on social media, the lecturer was caught asking the student, “Have I done any wrong? Then he turned to explained to the officers that he was set for his promotion interview before the female student called him. The officers then ordered him to their vehicle. From the video, the man was seen begging to be allowed to go for his promotional interview which he missed due to the arrest. The lecturer is alleged to be working at the College of Health Technology, Iboko, Yala LGA of Cross River State. Man Beaten to Death In Kano For Alleged theft A Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Friday ordered that 28-year-old man, Ibrahim Yunisa, be given six strokes of cane for stealing a ladder. Yunisa, of no fixed address, had pleaded guilty to one-count charge of theft and begged for leniency. The Judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, told the convict that he mitigated the sentence because he pleaded for leniency. Sadiq said the court might not be lenient with him the next time he appeared. The Prosecutor, Mrs Florence Avhioboh, told the court that the convict committed the offence on Oct. 12. She said the theft was reported at Karmo Police Station by Jacob Friday of Mararaba area in Nasarawa State. She added that the convict, who was found with the ladder at Dape village, Abuja, could not give satisfactory explanation on how he got it. Evans Case - judge Final Delibration On The Suit Of Fundamental Right Infringement Against Evans By The Police  Justice Abdulazeez Anka of the Federal High Court, Lagos has hands-off a fundamental rights case filed by suspected kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans. According to Justice Anka, the case file would be returned to the Administrative Judge for further directive. The judge had earlier heard the case during the court’s long vacation and had adjourned until Aug. 29 for judgment after parties argued it and adopted their addresses on Aug.16. But the police through its counsel David Igbodo said another lawyer, Henry Obiazi, who represented the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Nigeria Police when the case was heard did so without authorisation. The value of the properties was put at $22 million. Davido Has Been Arrested For The Murder Of His Deceased Friend Tagbo's - See What CCTV Camera Captured Music artiste, David Adeleke, aka Davido is under fire for lying to the police that he did not know how his deceased friend, Tagbo Umeike, got to the Lagos General Hospital’s premise. U.S.A - Viral Shooting At The Las Vegas Country Music Festival - 50 people dead, over 200 injured. See Photos According to CNN, it is the worst mass shooting in the U.S history. Police initially said 20 people died, but the figures have been reviewed. The shooting happened as country singer Jason Aldean was wrapping up a four-day Route 91 Harvest Festival. The gunman identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Police have launched investigation but are yet to ascertain the motive behind the shooters action. Police confirmed this via its official Twitter page. “Confirming that one suspect is down. This is an active investigation. Again, please do not head down to the Strip at this time.” The situation is still fluid but a person of interest who was travelling with the suspect has been identified as the shooters companion.
