Secretary General of the factional Shi’ite’s group, Sheikh Hamza Muhammad Lawal, gave the clarification at a news conference in Kaduna on Tuesday. He explained that he was once a member of IMN between 1981 and 2000, after he returned from Qum, Islamic Republic of Iran, where he studied Theology. The American reality TV show – “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” which first debuted on October 14, 2007, has been proven to leave viewers worse than the Kardashians themselves according to a new study by the London School of Economics. 487 people between the ages of 18 -49 were selected and asked questions about nine TV shows including ‘X-Factor’, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ and ‘The Apprentice’. Researchers found out that those who watched these shows regularly were more likely to be materialistic and lack empathy compared to lighter consumers of these shows. The two groups were also shown adverts of celebrities showing off expensive goods, dinosaurs and other neutral images. They were also asked about success, wealth and government benefits for the needy.
