Kanye West - " I want Jay Z to Remain My Big Brother"
According to TMZ, Kanye’s feud with Jay-Z is so close to being over.
The dispute was ignited last year when Kanye blasted his rapper mate, real name Shawn Carter, on stage, as well as Jay’s wife Beyonce and daughter Blue Ivy. The outburst came shortly before the once-troubled star was hospitalised and the rest of his tour cancelled.
Kanye, 40, made the claim at one of his last Saint Pablo tour shows that Jay Z had not yet reached out to him after his wife Kim Kardashian was the victim of a violent robbery in Paris.
Jay, 47, spoke about the rant to the Rap Radar podcast, saying: ‘What really hurt me is, you can’t bring my kids and my wife into it.
‘Kanye’s my little brother, he’s talked about me a hundred times, he made a song called Big Brother.
‘We’ve gotten past bigger issues. But you brought my family into it, and that’s a problem with me. That’s a real, real problem. He knows it’s a problem, he knows that he crossed the line.’
The rapper also called Kanye out in a song from his new 4:44 album called Kill Jay-Z.
This is not the only bone of contention between the two – apparently they’re also locked in a financial dispute over Kanye’s Tidal deal, with Yeezy believing that the company owes him $3 million (£2.3 million).
But a source said that despite all this dirty laundry, the pair’s friendship was on the road to recovery, adding that they just have a classic love/hate relationship. Oh, those two!
As for the Tidal squabble, there’s no sign of how that dispute will end. Never mix business and friendship guys, it rarely ends well.
