Mourinho gives injury update on 3 Key players


Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho has provided an update on three key United players that could miss the club’s home match on Saturday.

Mourinhno disclosed that Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jones didn’t make the plane to Russia for their 4-1 victory over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday and they may not be included in this weekend clash with the Glaziers.

“Carrick has no chance,” Mourinho told BT Sport. “I think Jones I have many doubts. And Fellaini I have a hope, just a hope.”

Fellaini was out of the CSKA match after he was on the receiving end of a strong challenge from Shane Long in their previous match against Southampton in the Premier League.

While Jones has been playing with an ankle injury and Carrick has only played once in the Carabao Cup this season for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils behind rivals Man City on four goals difference and currently occupies the second position in the English topflight with 16 points from six games.
